encountering problems

-The Dalai Lama insists on compassion. We have to be compassionate with others to fulfill our happiness. Then what is the difference between compassion and pity...or even feeling sorry for someone's situation. What about empathy?
And how can we apply this thoughts to facing problems.
The way I see it, when we encounter a problem we have two options.
1. face it
2. run
Currently for me running seems like a good option! Not because you are a coward but because you don't want to go through it.
It's like seeing yourself right before entering the tunnel. You might have an idea of what is in it, but you are never 100% sure, therefore sometimes you don't wanna dedicate the time to finding it out.
Or yes go through the tunnel get hurt more, or less let those cuts heal and you will have a new experience with a thicker skin. For what? What is the high premium society gives to being thick skinned?
Why is that a good thing? Look at my scars... My skin is so thick I can't feel gentle touch...I don't see that as a good thing.

I'm guessing you will take the challenge if the price is worthy or important to you. You are willing to go through that tunnel for someone ore something. That is 99% of my thought.
1% RUN FOR YOUR LIFE FORGET ABOUT THAT PERSON OR THAT THING YOU WILL FIND A BETTER ONE!!!!

Does getting hurt necessarily create thick skin... How many risks can we take? How many times can one get hurt?

No risk... No price..
whatever happens WILL HAPPEN

be good
